As specified in the agreement signed with Bitdefender at the end of 2011, the software company donated Free Antivirus Edition licenses to public libraries included in Biblionet Program, thus 10,000 computers with free Internet access for public use will be protected from online threats. The donation allows for the use and update of the software over an unlimited period of time and demonstrates Bitdefender’s wish to support the Romanian public libraries system.

During the Biblionet Program Bitdefender specialists will organize trainings and seminars to raise public awareness of the need for secure data. During the trainings the people interested will be able to find out more about IT threats and how they can protect themselves against them.
