Biblionet partners' roles

ANBPR’s role within Biblionet program
To create a sustainability plan for librarian training, IREX consulted with the main stakeholders associated with training provision. Librarians understand the challenges they face with the introduction of Internet centers into libraries and are committed to developing their profession.
The ANBPR is the organization best positioned to evaluate, communicate, and address librarians’ training needs over the long-term. After a pool of qualified trainers is established, the ANBPR will manage and deliver the Library Services Development course during the Global Libraries–Romania program.
Over the course of the five year program, IREX expects ANBPR to gradually take over the data collection processes and tools developed under Biblionet program, which will help ANBPR to better understand how to design and implement services for members and libraries.

EOS’s role within Biblionet program
EOS – Education for an Open Society will provide training for the professional development of librarians in information technology, train of trainers and public access centre management.

Ministry of Culture and National Heritage's role within Biblionet program
The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage is the body that governs public libraries. In its capacity as leading governmental partner, the Ministry has made it its aim to support the Biblionet Program for the duration of its operation and secure its sustainability after its conclusion.
